Gathering Place Education Centre is part of Vancouver School Board’s Adult Education. We are located inside the Gathering Place Community Centre at Seymour St. & Helmcken St. on the first floor and up the ramp beside the library. 

Gathering Place Education Centre offers self-paced courses ranging from Foundations courses to Grade 11 and Grade 12. You can:

• Complete courses for high school graduation (Dogwood or Adult Dogwood Diploma)
• Upgrade marks or complete prerequisites for post-secondary entrance
• Improve numeracy and literacy skills for future employment
• Advance skills for personal interest

Our courses are provided in a self-paced format, meaning you can learn at your own speed. You can start a course anytime between September 3, 2024 and April 25, 2025. Courses need to be completed by June 20, 2025. There is a teacher and instructional assistant on site to work with you. 

Our Teacher or Academic Advisor can help you with your course options and learning plan.

Hours:   Monday -Thursday: 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm
