The Social Studies Department at Windermere is an exciting place for students to learn about themselves, their role in the community and in the world.  We pride ourselves on being a collaborative group of professionals who strive to make the Social Studies curriculum exciting, relevant and interesting for all students through grades 8 to 12. We believe we help students prepare for their future careers by teaching skills such as critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing, and allowing opportunity for students to develop their interpersonal skills through group work and project-based learning. We believe that the integration of students with diverse learning needs benefits all types of learners.
