Playfields in the district are divided into three categories:  regular grass fields, irrigated grass fields, and all-weather (gravel) fields. Regular grass and all-weather fields are open year-round.  Irrigated grass fields are closed to most sports (soccer and rugby) from December 15 - January 31 and from June 15 to September's Labour Day weekend due to annual maintenance.  Please inquire for exceptions.

As the booking of playfields are in high demand, requests are processed on a first-come first-serve basis, with preference given to returning/long-term user groups.   

All requests to book playfields in the district are handled through the Rentals Department.  Please complete and submit an application form by email to rentals@vsb.bc.ca.  A rental contract will be provided upon approval.

Current rental rates are available here. Rates for special events such as tournaments and cultural events are available.  All bookings are subject to the district's minimum insurance requirements.
