Alfred Chien
Elected in the 2022 municipal election, Alfred Chien is the founder and CEO of TUEX Education, an award-winning app-based tutoring platform. He is also the founder of the TUEX Foundation, a non-profit that provides free tutoring to children from low-income families. Alfred sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Liver Foundation (BC and Yukon). He is also a facilitator for JABC for 15 years, past President of the Vancouver Chinatown New Century Lions Club, one of the founders and honorable judge panel of the Vancouver Outstanding Leaders Award and Vancouver Outstanding Young Ambassadors Award. He has lived in Vancouver for 27 years after immigrating from Hong Kong. Alfred attended the University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Economics and Concentration in Mathematics
