Introduction
Law Studies 12 is a general studies course that provides students with a working vocabulary of legal terminology in the areas of criminal, civil and constitutional law. Each area of law will have vocabulary exercises to complete and asks students to apply with examples for the terms. There are Big Idea assignments at the end of each unit that allow the students to choose from a variety of options to present their understanding of criminal, civil and constitutional law. The evaluation is based a midterm and final exam and a small quiz for each section.

- Prerequisites: Social Studies 10
- Graduation Status: One of the Grade 11/12 Social Studies options required for graduation
Course Materials
- Law in Action Edition II is the course textbook (it is an e-text). Students must complete the Start Up Assignment, Assignments 1 and 2 before requesting their e-text code.
- Students are encouraged to use outside sources to supplement their content.
